Simply because I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I lived most of my life in England (Cornwall) and moved here in 2002. I couldn't work while I was waiting for my residency papers and as the result of a lot of free time, I discovered Pbem soccer management sims. I still play the ones on the Links page every week and I decided that I would like to have a go at running one. I hope I can do a decent job.
The photo is me in my recording studio in England (looking grumpy).
I am 40 years old and I have been a musician and recording studio engineer for over twenty of them. In the 90s, my band was signed to the same label as Gong (If you haven't heard them, you should) and cut an album which, correctly, was never released. After that, I joined a comedy/jazz band (The Rhythm Doctors) and toured throughout Europe and Canada (where I met my wife). We also played in Singapore and did TV shows in several countries.
I am a life-long supporter of Tottenham Hotspur (don't bother pouring derision on me because 30 years of following this club has made me impervious to pain). My grandfather used to watch them in their glory days and I followed in his footsteps (minus the glory days). I have a large collection of Spurs match programmes and my wife hasn't left me...yet.
The Kinky Squirrels
Yes! The Kinky Squirrels! That's how I made my living in 2002. These days, I only dress as a squirrel for fun but back then, I was paid well for it.
I only included this mini biog because a friend said he thought the site was a little bit faceless. Some would say that is a good thing.
Anyway, I hope that I do a good job running this game. It is my intention to keep it running for years to come and turn it into a 'brother' league to FSL, JSL, ASL and LBM. I hope all the managers who play, can stick around and watch it grow with me. Get stuck into those teams and make them into Champions!
It is my promise to you that I will never interfere in any aspect of the game that affects results, so if your top of the table team loses an important cup match against a bottom of the table team, don't blame me - It's the software. I play these games too and 'fairness' is my middle name. Remember above all else, that winning comes second to having fun. I hope you all have lots and lots!
