The greatest footballer you never saw?

Robin Friday's gesture to the Luton goalkeeper he had just beaten, got him sent off but Friday had the skill to back up his behaviour. Unfortunately, he never made the big time because of his drinking. Reading and Cardiff fans still talk of him with reverence.

Now that's what I call ball control!
Vinnie Jones was heavily criticised for his video on how to cheat in football, but he was the first one to be honest about something that most players do.

I hope he doesn't kick it hard!

Matthias Sindelar - A remarkable talent.
By all accounts Sindelar was one of those players that only come around once in a generation. His control and vision are reported to have been astounding. An Austrian, he played at a very difficult time for someone who loved football - the rise of Nazi Germany. He refused to throw games against Nazi teams and no doubt, this probably accounted for his suspected murder in 1939. Read a good article about Matthias Sindelar HERE.
